NOTES

Caucasian skin was obtained at autopsy and was stored at -24oC until use. A saturated solution of mannitol in 50% aq. Dimethyisosorbide was added to the donor chamber. 15 mcrl was added and the vehicle was allowed to evaporate, leaving a film of mannitol on the surface of the skin. S-s flux was given as 6.9E-11 g/cm2/s. The mixture reached steady state after approximately 25h.
