NOTES
human skin was obtained after abdominal surgery from young caucasian females. After 4h the remaining test compound was removed from the application site with cotton swabs. However, the receptor fluid was collected for 8h. The experiment was conducted 4-6 times. I have used the median of this in the database. The results were given as mcrg/cm2. I have converted these into % for this database. The % penetrated was worked out as the amount applied minus the amount not absorbed after a 4h exposure.
