NOTES

The human abdominal skin was obtained from cadavers. The integrity of all membranes was assessed with tritiated water on the first day of the experiment. Then 0.5ml of saline was added to the receptor chamber and left in high humidity overnight to allow the skin to hydrate before the experiment was started. The results were given +/- SE. I have converted these to SD for the purpose of this database.
