NOTES

AL/pk Wistar-derived Rates were used. The epidermal membranes were prepared using NaBr. The integrity of all membranes was assessed with tritiated water on the first day of the experiment. Then 0.5ml of saline was addedto the receptor chamber and left in high humidity overnight to allow the skin to hydrate before the experiment was started. The results were given +/- SE. I have converted these to SD for the purpose of this database. Bizarrely they have reported a different number of cells used for calculating the Kp (8) as compared with the s-s flux (9) ??
