NOTES

Franz diffusion cells were used. The donor compartment was covered with a glass slip to prevent evaporation. DEET was analysed on an alltech C8 column (5 mcrl, 25cmx4.6mm) and eluted with the mobile phase at a flow-rate of 0.7 ml/min. The mobile phase was methanol/water (80:20)
