NOTES

Female Weanling Yorkshire Pigs were used.Every day for 10 days before the pig was sacrificed a dose of 1ml of 100% ethanol was added to the dosing site. The skin was allowed to equilibrate for 1 hour in the flow-through cells before the dose solution was added. The details of the area of skin exposed in the flow-though cell were obtained from ref No 44, and this was used to calculate the % absorption as the reults were simply given as micrgrams/8h
