NOTES

The gel was made by making a 1% solution of Carbopol in ethylene glycol. Testosterone was then added to the solution and a gel was formed by adding 0.01ml of triethanol amine. Non-Occlusive guards were used to prevent loss of the dose. 25mg/cm2 of Ethylene Glycol Gel was added. The dose area was between 10 and 20 cm2. The % absorption was calculated by comparing the amount excreted in the urine with the amount excreted from a parenteral dose and then correcting for incomplete excretion. It was given +/- SEM. I have converted this to SD for this database.
