NOTES

The volunteer was seated in a clean-air cabin under a slight overpressure in order to avoid inhalatory exposure. The volunteer placed the lower arm which was outside the cabin in to a piece of drainage pipe through which the cis-1,3-dichloropropene vapour was led at a flow of 3l/min. The concentration of cis-1,3-DCP vapour during exposure was 86+/-4mg/m3. it was as though the study was occluded due to the infinite dose. The permeability constant was calculated by dividing the total absorbed amount by the exposed area, exposure duration and exposure concentration. No steady state was reached.
