PAYING ACCOMMODATION FEES BY DIRECT DEBIT

Accommodation fees can be paid by Direct Debit and you will need a current account with a UK Bank/Building Society. Not all bank accounts support Direct Debits, ensure you check with your bank that it is possible. To set up your Direct Debit please complete the online instruction or return the paper instruction to the address below. An Advance Payment Notice will be issued to you detailing the instalment dates once you have completed your instruction.

We appreciate International students from overseas will be unable to open a UK bank account until their arrival into the country. Once you can activate your new UK bank account, you can then set up your Direct Debit through our online facility or by returning the paper instruction.

Please note, you may incur penalty charges from your bank, if you do not have enough funds in your account when the payment is due. This will result in the outstanding Direct Debit payment being due immediately. This will only be payable via another payment method, as we cannot request payment again via Direct Debit. Failure to make payment and bring your accommodation account up to date may lead to the Direct Debit instruction being cancelled, resulting in an invoice being issued for the full termly balance.

The account details, once provided, will be used to collect all payments during your tenancy. You must notify the University in writing of any changes you wish to make.
